Clay Bars & Mitts

Your car can look spotless and still feel rough when you run your hand over the paint. Rail dust, brake dust, industrial fallout and resin particles have embedded themselves so deep in the paint that washing won't release them. Clay bars and clay mitts tackle this mechanically: they grip the particles and pull them out of the paint surface.

Claying is the step between washing and polishing or coating. Without claying, a sealant or coating has invisible contamination underneath it, leading to poor bonding and reduced gloss. With a clay treatment the paint feels smooth as glass and every protective layer bonds significantly better.
