Bilt Hamber Auto-Clay Regular Clay Bar

The Bilt Hamber Auto-Clay Regular is a clay bar that lifts baked-on contamination from your paintwork that washing alone cannot remove. Feel a rough, gritty texture over freshly washed paint? That is embedded particles such as road film, industrial fallout and old polishing residue trapped in the pores of the paint. Mist a small section with a generous layer of lubricant and glide the clay bar over it: properly lubricated clay moves effortlessly, almost like an ice hockey puck on ice. You will hear and feel the contamination reduce as you move it back and forth, until the surface feels completely smooth. Once the paint is glass smooth, seal the pores with a wax, sealant or Micro-Fine for a deep gloss that lasts longer.

How to use

1. Wash and dry the car thoroughly before you start (Dirt on the paint can cause extra scratches during claying)

2. Mist a small area with plenty of lubricant or quick detailer (Work in sections of about 60 by 60 centimetres)

3. Glide the clay bar back and forth over the wet surface (Keep re-lubricating as soon as the clay starts to drag or stick)

4. Check with your fingertips whether the surface feels smooth (Repeat until all grittiness is gone and dry off with a microfiber towel)
