Q: Can I use wheel cleaner on tyres too?

Technically it works, but it is not ideal. Wheel cleaner is formulated for metal or lacquer, whereas tyres need a dedicated tyre cleaner that pulls old dressing and oxidation out of the rubber. A proper tyre cleaner also gives better adhesion for the dressing you apply afterwards.

For lacquered, polished or coated wheels always use soft brushes. On bare or rough-textured wheels you can go slightly stiffer. Hard bristles on a lacquered wheel leave microscopic scratches that dull the finish over time.
