Shiny Garage Jet Black Trim Restorer

Greyed-out tyres and faded plastic trim make a car look neglected. Shiny Garage Jet Black Trim Restorer is a water-based dressing that instantly gives tyres and dark textured plastics like roof rails and trim a fresh, deep-black appearance. The formula is layerable: 1 coat gives a matte-to-satin finish, while additional coats build gloss to taste. Available in 250 ml and 500 ml, it applies easily with an applicator. After about 5 minutes, blot away excess product for an even, streak-free result. The water base makes this product lower in odour and more environmentally friendly than solvent-based alternatives, without sacrificing colour depth.

How to use

1. Clean the tyres or plastic trim thoroughly and allow to dry completely. (Existing dirt, grease or old dressing affects adhesion. Use Shiny Garage Pure Black Tire Cleaner for the best preparation.)

2. Apply a thin coat of Jet Black Trim Restorer with a foam or microfibre applicator. (Divided amounts give a more even result. Start with a thin coat; you can always add more layers.)

3. Leave the product for about 5 minutes, then blot away excess. (Use a clean microfibre cloth for blotting. This prevents streaks and build-up at the sidewall edge.)

4. Repeat the application for more gloss and a more intense black. (Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next. Two to three coats give a deep, satin result on most tyres.)

Clean the tyres first with Shiny Garage Pure Black Tire Cleaner, apply the dressing using the Shiny Garage Bi-Color Tire Applicator and remove iron fallout from the wheels at the same time with D-CON V4 Wheelcleaner.
