Brake dust and embedded iron particles are the two most stubborn deposits on wheels, and shampoo alone will not remove them. Acid-free and ready to use
MWC is acid-free and needs no dilution: you use it neat from the bottle. Acid-free means it is safe on painted, chrome-plated and steel wheels, including coated ones. The formula is deliberately viscous so it clings to the wheel and does not run straight off, even while it dwells.
Step by step
Work on a cool wheel in the shade. On a hot wheel or in full sun the product dries too quickly and works less well.
Rinse off the loose dirt with water first.
Shake the bottle briefly and spray the rim face and barrel evenly.
Let it dwell for 2 to 4 minutes, a little longer if heavily soiled. The indicator changes colour where it reacts with iron and brake dust.
Agitate heavily soiled areas and the spokes with a soft, dedicated wheel brush.
Rinse the wheel thoroughly, ideally with a pressure washer, and dry with a dedicated towel.
Tips for the best result
Use a dedicated wheel brush and towel, not your paint kit. Wheels are full of abrasive brake dust you do not want on your paint.
Do not let the product dry in. Work wheel by wheel so you rinse in time.
