When do you use a de-ironizer?
Does your paint or wheel still feel rough after washing, or do you see small brown specks? Then there is fallout in the surface. A de-ironizer like D-CON V4 tackles that where a regular wheel cleaner stops. Handy on wheels, but also on paint and other exterior parts. It is safe on paint, plastic and anodised aluminium.
Step by step
Wash the car first and work on a cool, clean surface in the shade.
Spray D-CON V4 evenly onto the wheel or paint area you want to decontaminate.
Let it react. You will see the product turn red-purple where it dissolves the iron.
Agitate wheels with a soft wheel brush if needed; on paint let it dwell gently without scrubbing.
Rinse thoroughly with water before the product dries. Repeat on heavy contamination.
Tips for the best result
Do not let it dry in and do not work in full sun.
Use it as a separate decontamination step, not a daily cleaner. A wheel cleaner or shampoo is enough for the regular wash.
A coating or wax bonds better to freshly decontaminated paint.
