Koch Chemie CR 0.01 Ceramic Rims Coating

Koch Chemie CR 0.01 is a ceramic coating specifically developed for alloy and aluminium wheels. The ultra thin layer forms a chemical bond with the wheel surface and protects for up to 30 months against UV radiation, bird droppings, road salt and brake dust. A second layer extends protection by another 6 months. Because the surface becomes extremely hydrophobic, brake dust and road grime stick much less easily, so the next wash rinses the wheels clean faster. The deep gloss of the wheel also stays intact after washing with an alkaline wheel cleaner. The coating reaches full cure after 9 days, so do not wash the car during that period and avoid a car wash or pressure washer directly on the wheels. The set includes two suede applicators in large and small, a sticker, a detailing plan and an instruction sheet in several languages. Never apply the coating in direct sunlight or on a hot wheel, and wear nitrile gloves and a face mask while applying it.

How to use

1. Wash the wheels thoroughly with a wheel cleaner and let them dry fully (Brake dust, tar or old wax layers otherwise cause poor adhesion)

2. Apply the CR 0.01 thinly and evenly per wheel with the suede applicator (Wear nitrile gloves and a face mask, since the vapour can irritate)

3. Buff the coating after a few minutes with a clean microfibre towel (Never use the same towel or applicator twice, or you will smear the layer)

4. Let the coating cure fully for 9 days before washing the wheels intensively (Avoid a car wash or pressure washer directly on the wheels during that period)
