Tornador Shine Red Clay Bar 200g

This red clay bar from Tornador is built for paint and glass covered in rail dust, tar, tree sap, bug residue and overspray. The 200 gram bar treats a full vehicle before you move on to polishing. The red grade is the most aggressive in the Tornador range and lifts bonded dirt that a normal wash cannot remove.

Always work with plenty of lubricant so the clay glides across the surface instead of dragging. Fold the bar regularly to expose a clean face and stop picked-up grit from being dragged back over the paint. Once clayed, the paint feels glass smooth, which matters for a clean polishing result and for how long a coating or wax lasts afterwards.

Suitable for paint, glass, chrome and other smooth surfaces. Do not use it on rough plastic trim or matte paint finishes.

How to use

1. Wash the car thoroughly and dry the surface. (Dirt and grit on dry paint increase the risk of marring while claying.)

2. Spray a generous layer of clay lubricant onto a panel of roughly 60x60cm. (Work one small area at a time so the lubricant does not dry out before you use the clay.)

3. Move the clay back and forth with light pressure over the wet surface until it feels smooth. (Feel the surface with your fingertips regularly to check whether it is smooth yet.)

4. Fold the bar regularly to expose a clean face and work through the whole car panel by panel. (Throw the bar away as soon as it hits the ground or picks up grit.)

Wash the car first with Shiny Garage Base Shampoo in a Grit Guard detailing bucket, then finish after claying with Koch-Chemie QF Quick Finish.
