Rupes Wash & Decontamination Mitt

The Rupes Wash & Decontamination Mitt combines two steps in a single glove. One side features a soft microfibre surface for regular washing; the other side carries a synthetic clay layer that lifts tar, tree sap, insect remains, rail dust and road grime from the paintwork. The elastic cuff ensures a secure fit. After use, rinse the mitt out and machine wash at 30 degrees without fabric softener. For small areas and tight spots (door handles, badges) combine the mitt with a separate clay bar.

How to use

1. Pre-wash the vehicle with shampoo and rinse thoroughly (Remove loose dirt before using the clay side to avoid scratching the paint.)

2. Spray clay lubricant generously over a section of roughly 50 x 50 cm (Never use the mitt dry; lubricant is the only protection against swirl marks.)

3. Use the clay side and move the mitt back and forth across the surface (Light pressure, straight strokes. Repeat until the panel feels glassy smooth.)

4. Rinse the surface and the mitt with water (Check the mitt for embedded abrasive particles before reusing.)

Pair the Rupes mitt with D-CON Clay Lube for optimal results, then follow up with a coating or wax for lasting protection.
