Chemical Guys Surface Cleansing Clay Mitt Medium

The Chemical Guys Surface Cleansing Clay Mitt combines a rubberized clay side for decontamination with a microfiber side for washing in one glove. The medium grade is designed for vehicles parked outdoors or not clayed in several years: enough strength to lift embedded iron particles, overspray and industrial fallout without unnecessary stress on the paint.

The glove fit gives you more control than a loose clay bar: you follow the contours of doors, bonnet and bumpers without straining your wrist. One mitt lasts for up to 50 full decontamination sessions with correct use and storage.

How to use

1. Wash the car with shampoo and rinse thoroughly (Remove loose dirt before claying so coarse particles are not dragged across the paint)

2. Spray clay lubricant generously onto a 40 by 40 centimetre section (Too little lubrication causes marring regardless of clay grade)

3. Glide the clay side in straight overlapping strokes across the surface (Use only hand weight as pressure; avoid circular motions)

4. Wipe dry with a clean microfibre towel and check smoothness (Smooth as glass means done; any rough spot needs another pass)
