Black Optics Finishing Pad

The Chemical Guys Black Optics Finishing Pad is the softer counterpart to the cutting pad and works out light swirls and holograms into a high-gloss finish. Use this pad after a cutting step, with either a rotary or DA polisher, for the final smooth result. The microfiber structure delivers consistent results, even for beginners. The pad also removes light friction marks and oxidation and works on every paint color, from light to dark. Thanks to the hook-and-loop backing, you switch effortlessly between backing plates in the right size. Available in 4 inch and 6.5 inch, choose the size that matches your backing plate and combine the pad with a fine polish for the best glossy end result.

How to use

1. Attach the pad to a backing plate of the matching size. (Make sure the hook-and-loop sits flat before you start.)

2. Apply a finishing polish to the pad. (Use about a pea-sized amount per panel.)

3. Work in overlapping passes with light pressure across the paint. (Keep the machine moving at all times to avoid overheating.)

4. Buff away residue with a microfiber towel for the high-gloss finish. (Check the panel in bright light for any remaining swirls.)

Finish with a Chemical Guys DA backing plate, Menzerna Super Finish polish and a layer of Chemical Guys White Paste Wax for the deepest result.
