Chemical Guys MPT Cutting Pad Yellow 150mm

The yellow MPT Cutting Pad is the heaviest pad in the Chemical Guys MPT lineup and your first step for serious paint damage. The open-cell foam has a consistent pore size, so the pad holds polish during cutting instead of flinging it off. At 150 mm diameter and 3.75 cm thickness, the pad barely flexes, transferring pressure evenly across the paint. Use it only on oxidized or heavily weathered paint, and always follow up with a softer pad for finishing.

How to use

1. Mount the pad on a 150 mm backing plate and attach it to your polisher.

2. Apply 4 to 6 drops of cutting compound spread across the pad.

3. Work in sections of about 40x40 cm, starting at low speed and building up gradually.

4. Wipe off excess compound with a microfiber towel and follow up immediately with a softer pad.

Pair it with the V32 Extreme Compound and a 150 mm backing plate for a complete correction workflow.
