Rupes Gel 1 Zephir Abrasivo

Rupes Gel 1 Zephir Abrasivo is the heaviest correction gel within the BigFoot 4-step gel system, developed for dual action polishers. This compound removes scratches, oxidation and sanding marks up to P1500 grit, making it the first and most aggressive step before you move on to the finer gels in the series. Designed for the blue Rupes Cutting foam pad, Gel 1 Zephir combines high cutting power with a high gloss finish compared to other coarse compounds. The silicone free formula works safely on all paint types, including fully cured paint, without causing paint adhesion issues for any future respray work. Use this gel as the first step on visible scratches, dull oxidation or deep sanding marks after wet sanding. Always follow up with Gel 2 Quarz Abrasivo Medio to refine any remaining holograms, and finish with Gel 4 Diamond Ultra Fine for the highest gloss. Available in 1 liter.

How to use

1. Attach a blue Cutting foam pad and place a few dots of gel on it. (Spread it across the panel at low speed first.)

2. Work at medium to high speed in sections of around 40 by 40 centimeters. (Work in smaller sections on heavier damage for more control.)

3. Wipe off the residue with a microfiber towel once the gel turns clear. (Check the panel for any remaining scratches or oxidation.)

4. Follow up with Gel 2 Quarz Abrasivo Medio for the next correction step. (This refines the holograms that Zephir leaves behind.)

Pair it with the blue Rupes DA foam pad, measure the paint film first with the Etari thickness gauge, use a backing plate for the Bigfoot system, and protect the result with Koch Chemie C002 ceramic coating.
