The Menzerna One-Step Polish 3-in-1 does three things in a single step: it removes swirls, holograms and light scratches, finishes to a deep high gloss and leaves a protective wax layer at the same time. You use it by machine with a DA or rotary polisher on a foam polishing pad. You apply three to four pea-sized drops, spread them at low speed, work the polish in at a higher speed and buff the residue off with a microfiber cloth. That way you correct, gloss and protect the paint in one action.
What One-Step does
One-Step combines the power of a medium cut polish with the finish of a high-gloss product and a protective wax, all in one bottle. In one step you remove light to moderate paint defects such as swirls and holograms, bring back depth and gloss and lay down a layer of protection. That makes it a time-saving alternative to cutting, finishing and waxing separately, and therefore a nice choice when you want a tidy result without a full multi-step polishing session.
How to use it
Wash and dry the car thoroughly and shake the bottle well. Work on cool paint in the shade and divide the car into small areas of about fifty by fifty centimetres.
Apply three to four pea-sized drops of One-Step onto a foam polishing pad. Place the pad flat on the paint and first spread the product at a low speed, setting one to two, over the area.
Increase the speed to setting four to five and work the polish in with moderate pressure and an even motion. Reduce the pressure and speed once the polish begins to break down, and keep working until only a thin, slightly transparent film is visible.
Leave the residue to dry for five to ten minutes and then buff it off with a clean microfiber cloth, without pressure. That keeps the gloss and the protective layer neatly intact.
DA or rotary polisher
One-Step works with both a dual-action DA polisher and a rotary polisher. A DA polisher is forgiving and therefore pleasant if you have less experience, while a rotary polisher gives a bit more correcting power for the practised user. Use a foam polishing pad that suits the desired result; a polishing or medium pad is a safe middle ground for a one-step. Keep the pad clean and apply fresh drops regularly so the polish keeps working evenly.
When to choose a one-step
A one-step is ideal when you want to tackle light to moderate swirls and loss of gloss in one go and leave protection at the same time.
