Rupes DA Foam Pad Medium Yellow

The Rupes DA Foam Pad Medium Yellow plays the bridging role in the Rupes BigFoot DA range. Its yellow-coded medium cut grade removes light to moderate swirls and holograms after the coarse step, or takes a relatively clean paint surface to a clear gloss in a single pass. The low-profile design transfers machine energy directly to the paint without unwanted damping. Rounded edges let you safely navigate door frames and spoilers. As the transition step before the finishing pad, this yellow pad builds the ideal base for the final gloss.

How to use

1. Attach the yellow pad to an 80 mm backing plate via velcro. (Ensure the pad is centred for an even orbit.)

2. Apply 3 to 4 drops of medium or fine cut polish to the pad. (DA Coarse Cut and DA Fine Cut both work well here.)

3. Polish each 40x40 cm panel in overlapping passes at speed 4-5. (Apply light pressure in multiple passes until coarse haze is gone.)

4. Wipe off residue and switch to the white soft finishing pad. (Check under a detail light that all holograms are gone.)

Pair this pad with Rupes DA Fine Cut for the best balance of correction and gloss, complete the correction sequence with the Rupes DA Foam Pad Coarse Blue, and wrap up with the Rupes DA Foam Pad Soft White.
