Rupes DA Fine Cut

Rupes DA Fine Cut is a finish compound optimised for use with a DA polisher as the second step in a multi-stage polishing system. The formula refines the correction marks from the first step while simultaneously removing swirls, buffer trails and light holograms from the paint. The result is a high-gloss paint surface with no visible machine marks. On lightly damaged paint you can use DA Fine Cut directly as a single-step and skip the coarser compound stage. The compound works best with a medium-soft Rupes DA Fine Foam pad and is also compatible with pads from other brands of comparable firmness. After polishing, DA Fine Cut leaves a thin, easily removed residue that does not dry out. Available in 250 ml for small jobs and 1 L for regular detailers.

How to use

1. Clean the paint thoroughly, dry it and inspect for deep scratches (Work in a dust-free environment between 10 and 25 degrees.)

2. Apply 3 to 5 dots of compound to a clean Rupes DA Fine Foam pad (80-150 mm) (Spread at speed 1 to 2 across the panel before ramping up to speed 4 to 5.)

3. Polish in overlapping passes at speed 4 to 5 with light pressure (2 to 3 passes per panel. For heavy swirls add a pass at speed 5.)

4. Wipe off the residue with a clean, lint-free microfiber cloth (Inspect in raking light. Apply coating or wax once the surface is swirl-free.)

Use DA Fine Cut as the closing step after Rupes DA Coarse Cut for a complete two-stage correction, followed by Chemical Guys HydroCharge as a quick sealant after polishing.
