Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 1000 is a professional cutting compound for removing sanding marks (P800-P1500), deep scratches and severe surface damage from clear coat. HC 1000 is the standard in the professional paint correction market for the first correction step after wet sanding. The formula is silicone-free and leaves no powder or dust residue during processing, which is critical for clean working conditions and safe coating preparation. Optimised for use with lambswool pads for the highest material removal; also usable with cutting foam pads on a DA machine. Available in 250 ml for targeted use and in 1 L for professional application.

How to use

1. Clean and degrease the paint before starting (Ensure the surface is clean and free of wax and silicones. An IPA solution works well as a degreaser before polishing.)

2. Apply 3-4 dots of compound to the lambswool pad (Distribute per 40x40cm work zone. Too much compound extends processing time and increases the risk of heat build-up.)

3. Spread at low speed, then increase to working speed (Rotary machine: 600-800 rpm for spreading, 1000-1200 rpm for working. DA machine: speed 2 for spreading, speed 4-5 for working. Use light to moderate pressure.)

4. Remove residue and evaluate under reflective lighting (Wipe off residue with a clean microfibre cloth. Use an inspection light to confirm all sanding marks are removed before proceeding to the finishing step.)
