The Hex-Logic Quantum Finishing Pad Black from Chemical Guys is a 5.5-inch black foam pad for the final polishing step: applying sealant or liquid wax. The pad has no cutting action and removes no paint. The hexagonal Hex-Logic grooves distribute the protection product evenly across the full pad with every rotation, laying down sealant or wax in a thin, consistent layer. The Race Face cone profile ensures stable, even pressure. The central ventilation hole limits heat build-up. Fits any DA polisher with a 5.5-inch backing plate.

How to use

1. Attach the black finishing pad to your DA machine (5.5-inch backing plate) and lightly dampen it.

2. Apply 3 to 4 dots of JetSeal, M-Seal, or Butter Wet Wax to the pad. (A thin layer bonds better and is easier to remove.)

3. Spread at low speed (1-2) across roughly 40 x 40 cm, then increase to 2-3 to work it in. (Light pressure is sufficient. This pad removes no paint.)

4. Allow to cure per manufacturer's instructions, then remove residue with a soft microfibre towel.

Combine this finishing pad with Koch Chemie PW Protector Wax for protection, the blue glazing pad for the previous stage, a microfibre towel for wiping off wax residue, and a DA polisher to complete the setup.
