The Leather Expert Leather Softener restores suppleness and a pleasant, soft feel to leather that has become dry and stiff. The softener penetrates the leather and prevents further shrinkage, a common problem on older car seats and steering wheels after years of sun exposure and use. Regular use noticeably extends the leather's lifespan, since dried out leather cracks and tears faster than leather that stays supple. The product suits the restoration of various natural leather types, from coated leather to aniline leather, but is explicitly not meant for suede or nubuck. Clean the leather first with a leather cleaner or leather mousse to open the pores, so the softener can absorb properly. Then apply several thin coats about 12 hours apart, letting each coat fully absorb before the next one follows. Available in a 250 ml bottle, ideal for periodic maintenance of your leather upholstery.
One bottle of Leather Expert Leather Softener, 250 ml, a softener for dry and stiff natural leather.
Restores suppleness: turns dry and stiff leather soft and pleasant again
Prevents further shrinkage: especially important on older car seats and steering wheels
Extends leather's lifespan: dried out leather cracks and tears much faster
Suitable for natural leather: from coated leather to aniline leather in any color
Not for suede or nubuck: intended only for smooth, natural leather types
Clean the leather with a leather cleaner or leather mousse to open the pores (Dirt in the pores limits how well the softener can absorb)
Apply the softener with an applicator or microfiber towel (Work the product in gently with small, circular motions)
Let each coat absorb fully before applying the next one (Allow about 12 hours between coats for the best result)
Repeat with 2 to 3 thin coats for noticeably softer leather (For extremely dried out leather you can repeat the treatment after a few weeks)
Loosen the leather first with a horsehair leather brush and lift away excess product with a soft microfiber towel.
