The Leather Expert Steering Wheel Restoration Set Black is a complete set to bring a worn or discolored black leather steering wheel back to looking like new. The set includes every product and tool you need: a leather preparer, an alcohol cleaner to remove grease and old coating, a black leather colorant, a protective top coat and the matching sponges, a sanding sponge and a towel. This means you do not have to hunt down separate parts, and you know everything is matched in color and adhesion. The set is designed for steering wheels, but works just as well on other leather parts such as a gear knob or armrest. Follow the steps in the right order: clean and degrease first, then color in thin layers, and finally seal with the top coat for a durable result. The end result is a deep black, evenly colored steering wheel that feels good in the hand again, without the slick or sticky aftertaste of cheap paint alternatives. Includes an instructional video for anyone who prefers watching over reading.

Delivers a durable finish: the top coat seals and protects the fresh color layer against wear
Also suitable for home use: no professional equipment or experience needed to get started
Clean the steering wheel with the Leather Preparer and then degrease with the Alcohol Cleaner (This step removes old grease, coating and hand cream that would otherwise disturb adhesion)
Apply the first coat of leather colorant with the included sponge in circular motions (Work in small sections and let each coat dry fully before continuing)
Repeat with 2 to 3 thin coats of colorant until an even, deep black coverage appears (Only use the sanding sponge between coats for unevenness, never on the final coat)
Seal the color with 2 to 3 thin coats of Leather Top Coat (Let each coat dry fully for a durable, non-sticky finish)
Prep the leather with a horsehair leather brush and wear nitrile gloves during coloring and sealing.
