Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80

Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 is a water-based rust converter that tackles corrosion at the source by chemically transforming rust into a stable, protective surface. Non-flammable and safe to use in enclosed spaces such as wheel arches and underbody areas. Once dry, the surface is ready to be painted over or waxed without any rinsing needed. The water-based formula makes it safe in poorly ventilated spaces where solvent-based products are too hazardous. Suitable for bare and lightly rusted steel, components, underbodies and restoration projects. For maximum protection, a second coat after the first has fully dried is recommended. Available in 500 ml, 1 L and 5 L.

How to use

1. Remove loose rust, dirt and grease from the surface (Use a wire brush or sandpaper to remove flaking rust and loose particles. Degreasing ensures better adhesion of Hydrate 80.)

2. Apply Hydrate 80 with a brush, roller or spray (Ensure an even coat over the entire rusted surface. Use a brush to reach wheel arches and crevices for complete coverage.)

3. Allow to dry completely (Drying time varies depending on temperature and humidity. For optimal protection, apply a second coat after the first has fully dried.)

4. Paint over, wax or protect as desired (Once dry, the surface is ready for primer, paint, wax or other protective finishes. No rinsing required.)
