This Ultimate Softness backing plate from Chemical Guys is the compact 75mm version for rotary polishers with an M14 connection. Thanks to the small size, you can work precisely on hard to reach spots, mirror caps, small dents and other areas where a large plate won't fit. The soft foam layer gives smooth, even movement of your pad and makes steering more comfortable, even during short, focused polishing jobs. The plate mounts straight onto the M14 shaft of your machine and is also available in 125mm and 150mm for larger surfaces. Ideal for spot-repair and detail work.

How to use

1. Screw the backing plate firmly onto the M14 shaft of your rotary machine.

2. Attach your small polishing pad straight onto the backing plate.

3. Work in a focused way, on low speed, over the small area, without applying too much pressure.

4. Clean the backing plate with a dry microfiber cloth after every use.

Pair it with a fine Koch-Chemie polish and a swirl finder light to see exactly where you still need to work.
