Rupes Skorpio E RX256A Electric Sander

The Rupes Skorpio E RX256A is an electric random orbital sander with a brushless motor, the same technology Rupes first introduced across the Skorpio E line. The brushless motor keeps speed steady, even under changing pressure and extended use. With a 6mm orbit and a 150mm backing pad you work efficiently with abrasives from grit P320 upward, removing slightly more material per pass than the smaller RX253A. That makes the RX256A a good fit when you need to cover somewhat larger surfaces in the same finishing stage without losing control. The ergonomic design and low vibration level keep your hand steady through a full day at the bench. At 1.2 kg and 250W the tool combines comfort with enough power, and speeds up to 10,000 RPM keep the job moving. The 5 metre cable gives you room to move around a panel. How to use

1. Fit a 150mm backing pad firmly onto the shaft and attach a sanding disc with grit from P320 upward for the finishing stage.

2. Plug in the tool, the 5 metre cable gives you room to move freely around the panel as you work.

3. Sand in overlapping passes with even, light pressure and let the tool control the speed thanks to the brushless motor.

4. Check the surface regularly for evenness and replace the disc in time once cutting slows down or the paper visibly clogs.

Finish up with Mirka Gold Soft P800 on the 150mm backing pad for the finest result after the RX256A.
