Bilt Hamber Xylene Thinner & Degreaser

Bilt Hamber Xylene is a strong solvent thinner and degreaser for preparing bare metal before spraying. Thin Electrox primer by up to 10% for a smooth spray application, and clean spray guns, brushes and other tools effortlessly after use. On untreated, uncoated metal, xylene works as a degreaser: it removes grease, silicone and old residue before the primer goes on, so it bonds properly. Always work in a well ventilated area, since this is a solvent product with strong vapour. Never use xylene on finished paintwork, it will attack the coating. The 500 ml bottle gives you exactly enough for smaller repairs and spot fixes around the garage.

How to use

1. Thin the Electrox primer with up to 10% xylene (Mix thoroughly in a mixing cup before spraying)

2. Degrease bare metal with a clean cloth dampened with xylene (Work in small sections and let it fully evaporate before priming)

3. Clean the spray gun and brushes right after use (Flush through several times until no colour residue remains visible)

4. Work in a well ventilated area (Wear gloves and avoid open flame near the fumes)
