Bilt Hamber Electrox Zinc Primer 400ml

Electrox is a zinc-rich primer from Bilt Hamber, made for bare steel and welds that need extra protection. Thanks to its high pure zinc content it forms a galvanic barrier that actively stops rust, even in demanding conditions. The primer dries fast and bonds durably to metal surfaces, making it suitable for automotive, marine and industrial applications. You can overcoat the layer or leave it as a standalone protective coat. For the best result, work on steel prepared to Swedish standard SA 2, so the product bonds optimally. The primer is a popular choice for restoration projects and maintenance of trailers, hitches and machinery where bare metal is exposed to moisture and weather for long periods. Always work in a well-ventilated area and wear suitable protection while spraying.

How to use

1. Prepare the steel to Swedish standard SA 2. (This ensures the best adhesion and the longest-lasting protective result.)

2. Open the aerosol carefully, away from your face and eyes. (Shake the can well before use for an even mix of the zinc.)

3. Spray the primer evenly onto bare steel or welds from about 20 to 30 cm away.

4. Let the coat dry fully, then overcoat it or leave the primer as a protective layer. (For the best result, work in a well-ventilated area with suitable protective gear.)

Treat rust first with Korrosol, mask off the edges, and work with a respirator for a safe result.
