Mirka Abralon Sanding Pad P500

The Mirka Abralon P500 is a professional sanding pad built from a flexible cloth-on-foam construction. Its resin coating with silicon carbide grit creates an even sanding pattern, even on curved edges and profiles, while reducing the risk of pressure marks. The open weave lets water and air pass through freely, so you can sand wet or dry, by hand or machine. Use P500 as an intermediate step to remove marks left by coarser grits before moving on to finer grits or polishing. Suitable for paint, aluminum, steel, plastic, composite and glass.

How to use

1. Attach the pad to your sander or hand block using the hook-and-loop backing, centred on the plate.

2. Sand wet with a light film of water on the surface, or dry without water, depending on your material.

3. Sand with light, even pressure in overlapping passes across the whole surface.

4. Rinse the pad regularly to clear away built-up debris and keep the cut consistent.

Pair this pad with a DA polisher like the Krauss A75 and a Koch-Chemie polishing compound for a complete sanding-to-polishing workflow.
