Leather Expert Leather Cross Linker

A freshly applied colour layer on leather looks great, but without extra strengthening that layer can peel or wear faster than you would like under heavy use. The Leather Cross Linker from Leather Expert solves this by forming chemical bonds between the polymers in colourant or coating, making the finish firmer and more resistant to friction, sweat and daily use. You mix the product into the colourant according to the recommended ratio, or apply it as a thin top layer once the colour has fully cured, for an extra protective film. The result is a leather treatment that colours beautifully and, on top of that, noticeably lasts longer before it needs touching up again. Suitable for both professional use by detailers and home repairs, and available in 50 ml and 150 ml.

How to use

1. Mix 5 to 10 percent cross linker into the colourant, or keep it separate for a top layer (Check the exact ratio for your specific colourant)

2. Apply the colourant with cross linker as you normally would (Work in thin layers for the neatest result)

3. For a separate top layer, apply the cross linker once the colour has cured (Use a thin, even layer with a cloth or spray gun)

4. Let it dry for at least 24 hours in a well-ventilated space (Full curing takes a few days for heavily used leather)

Wear Colad nitrile gloves while mixing and applying to keep your hands clean.
