Krauss Compact Palm Orbital Air Sander

The Krauss Compact Palm Orbital is an air powered sander with a 5mm orbit, built for spot repairs and heavy paint correction. The tool runs with low vibration and has a light, ergonomic build that fits right into your palm, which makes extended work comfortable. The throttle sits on top and is operated with the palm of your hand, while your fingers run along the body for a natural grip on almost any painted surface. At the bottom of the air inlet sits a valve that controls airflow, and with it the speed and power of the tool. The 75mm pad fits most wet sanding sheets, dry sanding sheets and polishing pads in 3 inch (75mm), 3.5 inch (90mm) and 4 inch (100mm). You can also run the tool as an orbital polisher, so it is one tool for both sanding and polishing small, precise zones.

How to use

1. Connect the tool to your compressed air system and set the airflow with the valve at the bottom of the inlet. (A stable airflow keeps the speed consistent throughout the work.)

2. Fit a wet or dry sanding pad, or a polishing pad, suited to the job. (Pick the sanding sheet or polishing pad based on the grit the job needs.)

3. Operate the throttle with the palm of your hand and work with light, even pressure. (Let the weight of the tool do most of the work, do not force it.)

4. Swap the pad when you switch from sanding to polishing. (That way you move from sanding straight to finishing with the same tool.)

Pair this sander with a panel prep spray and a fine polishing compound to move straight from sanding to a smooth finish.
