Chemical Guys Wipe Out Surface Cleanser Spray

Wipe Out is the surface cleanser that preps your paint for a fresh layer of wax, sealant or coating. Old layers never bond well to a contaminated surface, and Wipe Out removes exactly that residue: grease, oils and polish leftovers that remain after polishing. Many detailers used to grab isopropyl alcohol to strip that residue, but pure alcohol lacks lubricants and raises the risk of fresh scratches while wiping. Wipe Out is formulated with lubricating and antistatic agents instead, so dust and polish residue lift away without your towel dragging across the surface. That also lets you check for swirls or scratches hiding under the polish, since polish can temporarily mask light defects. Use Wipe Out on paint, glass, plastic, rubber and vinyl, right before you apply a new coating, sealant or wax for maximum adhesion.

How to use

1. Wash and dry the car thoroughly before starting (Wipe Out is a prep step, not a wash product; start with a clean, dry surface)

2. Spray Wipe Out onto a clean microfiber towel or directly onto a small panel (Work panel by panel to prevent evaporation)

3. Wipe with light pressure until the residue is gone, finish with a clean towel (Check the panel in bright light for remaining swirls or scratches)

4. Apply your new wax, sealant or coating within a few minutes (Do not wait too long, a freshly wiped panel attracts dust quickly)
