Chemical Guys Gearhead Motorcycle Cleaner & Degreaser

Gearhead is the cleaner and degreaser that thoroughly strips chains, sprockets and motorcycle parts of dirt, dust, sand and grit before it damages your drivetrain. Riding through rain, mud and loose terrain pushes grit deep into your chain links, and combined with old oil and grease that causes accelerated wear if you do not remove it regularly. Spray Gearhead directly onto chains and sprockets to break down and loosen stuck-on dirt, oil and abrasive grit. For stubborn caked-on buildup, agitate with a stiff chain brush and rinse away the loosened dirt with another layer of Gearhead. The cleaner also works great on engine blocks, transmissions, fairings, bumpers and forks where spilled oil or grease collects. Gearhead is gentle on paint and rubber, so you can spray around sensitive parts without worry. Cleaning your chain regularly is part of normal motorcycle maintenance and prevents a costly, premature drivetrain replacement.

How to use

1. Spray a generous amount of Gearhead onto the chain and sprockets, including inside the links (Work on a cold chain, not right after a ride)

2. Let it sit for a moment and brush off stubborn dirt with a stiff chain brush (Rotate the chain so you reach every link)

3. Rinse or wipe away the loosened dirt with a second layer of Gearhead and a towel (Repeat for heavily soiled chains after an offroad ride)

4. Let the chain dry and relubricate with chain grease or oil (A degreased chain without fresh lubrication wears faster)
