Mirka DEROS 650 CV 150mm

The Mirka DEROS 650 CV is a professional electric random orbital sander for paint preparation and bodywork. The brushless electric motor delivers stable power over extended work sessions, while the 5 mm orbit produces a precise finish with minimal swirl pattern in the paint. The machine accepts 150 mm sanding discs and is also compatible with 125 mm. Mirka recommends Abralon discs in P40 to P80 for paint preparation in a spray booth environment. In 2012 the DEROS received both the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award for its ergonomic design that reduces strain during prolonged sanding. Mains-powered at 220V, it is the lightest electric machine in its class. The right tool for bodywork shops and detailing workshops carrying out the sanding stage before polishing.

How to use

1. Attach a Mirka Abralon disc of the correct grit to the DEROS (Use P40 for coarse sanding of primer or filler, P80 for the finer preparation step towards the topcoat.)

2. Start the machine and place the disc flat on the work surface (Let the machine do the work. Move in even, overlapping passes across the surface without pressing too hard.)

3. Work in sections and check the surface regularly (Remove dust with compressed air or a cloth and inspect with a work lamp to confirm the desired sanding pattern.)

4. Remove all dust before the paint or polish stage (Use compressed air and a degreaser to leave the surface dust-free. Then move on to polishing equipment for the finish stage.)
