Leather Expert Leather Binder

Damaged leather loses its firmness when its internal fibre structure weakens. Leather Expert Leather Binder penetrates deep into the material and re-bonds these loose fibres, increasing tensile strength and giving the leather a stable foundation for further treatments. This preparation product is the essential first step in any serious leather restoration: without proper fibre bonding, fillers, colour balms and conditioners cannot adhere properly. The formula is suitable for professional and home use, available in 50 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml and 1 L. Apply to the vulnerable leather area, allow to dry completely and repeat if needed. The Leather Binder dries transparent and does not affect the colour of the leather.

How to use

1. Clean the leather thoroughly with a suitable leather cleaner and allow to dry completely. (Grease, dirt and creams block the penetration of Leather Binder. Use Leather Expert Leather Cleaner for the best preparation.)

2. Apply a thin coat of Leather Binder to the vulnerable or damaged area. (Use a soft cloth or sponge. Ensure an even, thin coat so the product can fully penetrate the leather.)

3. Allow the coat to dry completely before proceeding. (Drying time varies with temperature and humidity. For severely damaged leather, repeat the application after drying for better bonding.)

4. Continue the restoration with Leather Filler, Colouring Balm or Conditioner. (The Leather Binder lays the foundation. A good sequence is: Binder, Filler (if needed), Colouring Balm, Conditioner.)
