Leather Expert Leather Conditioner feeds your car leather, brings out the colour depth and leaves a satin finish. You apply it to clean leather with a sponge or cloth in circular motions, let it soak in for about five minutes and buff with a cotton cloth. That keeps your leather supple and protected. You will find the Leather Expert Leather Conditioner in the shop.
What Leather Conditioner does
Leather is a natural product that loses oils and moisture through sun, heat and daily use. Once it dries out it turns stiff and eventually cracks. Leather Conditioner works with natural oils and waxes, including beeswax and carnauba wax, that feed the leather and keep it supple. Leather Expert states that the conditioner has a skin-neutral pH and is alcohol-free, so it cares for the leather without attacking the finish. The result is a deeper colour and a natural, satin sheen.
Feeding only works on clean leather. If skin oils or dust remain, you seal that dirt in. So clean the leather first with a Leather Expert Leather Cleaner and let it dry. You will find more leather cleaners and care in the leather cleaning and care category.
How to use it
Clean first. Clean the leather with a leather cleaner and let it dry completely.
Apply in circles. Apply a thin layer with a sponge or soft cloth in round motions, panel by panel.
Let it soak in. Let the conditioner soak in for about five minutes so the oils and waxes can do their work.
Buff off. Wipe the excess away and buff with a clean cotton cloth for an even, satin finish.
Which leather it suits
Leather Expert lists the conditioner as suitable for all colours of pigmented leather, in the car and on furniture, bags and accessories. Do not use it on suede and nubuck. If you have aniline or unpigmented natural leather, choose care made specifically for that. When in doubt, test on a hidden spot first.
Tips for the best result
Apply thinly. A thin layer soaks in; too much product stays on the surface and feels sticky.
Work in the shade. In full sun the conditioner soaks in unevenly.
Repeat on dry leather. If the leather still feels dry, apply a second thin layer.
Use a clean buffing cloth. That spreads the care evenly without smearing dirt back in.
To keep leather supple and looking good, Leather Expert advises feeding it at least four times a year. Do it after every thorough interior session and you keep the protection topped up automatically.
