Koch Chemie SIL Silicone & Wax Remover 5L

Koch Chemie SIL is a powerful solvent based cleaner that thoroughly removes silicone, wax residue, polish and oil from the surface. These exact residues are what stop a new coating, sealant or nano sealant from bonding properly, leading to disappointing results or early failure. SIL fully dissolves this contamination without leaving any film behind, so the paint or glass is completely bare and ready for the next step. The product contains no halogenated hydrocarbons and is therefore milder on people and materials than many classic solvent cleaners. For sensitive surfaces you can dilute SIL with water, for stubborn cases you use it undiluted. Apply it with a clean microfiber towel, wipe the surface thoroughly and swap the towel once it feels greasy. SIL works on paint, glass, metal and most plastic trim and is the standard step right before applying a coating, wax or sealant.

How to use

1. Wash and dry the surface before using SIL (Remove heavy dirt with a regular wash first, SIL is meant for the fine residues)

2. Apply SIL with a clean microfiber towel (Use it undiluted for stubborn cases, diluted with water for sensitive surfaces)

3. Wipe the surface thoroughly until it feels completely bare (Swap the towel once it feels greasy so you do not recontaminate the surface)

4. Apply your coating, wax or sealant right after (Work quickly so no new dust or dirt can land on the bare surface)
