CTEK MXS 5.0 Test & Charge Battery Charger

A slow-starting battery or an alternator that is not charging properly is often only noticed once you are already on the road. The CTEK MXS 5.0 Test & Charge charges your battery and at the same time tests battery voltage, starting power and alternator performance, so you know exactly where you stand before you set off. The unit is fully automatic: connect the clamps and the charger selects the right program for batteries from 1.2 to 110 Ah, from a small motorcycle battery to a heavy diesel battery. Thanks to the patented desulfation and reconditioning program, even a deeply discharged battery gets a fair second chance to regain its original capacity. The included temperature sensor fine-tunes the charging voltage to the ambient temperature in your garage, and IP65 certification keeps the charger protected against splashes and dust, indoors or outdoors.

How to use

1. Connect the red clamp to positive and the black to negative (Or use the permanent connection cable on batteries that stay permanently built into the car)

2. Plug the charger into the mains socket (The LED display instantly shows the current battery status and chosen program)

3. Select test or charge mode on the display (Test mode shows voltage, starting power and alternator performance within minutes)

4. Let the charger complete the full program calmly (Once fully charged it automatically switches to float and pulse maintenance long term)
