The Schumacher SOS Boost is a portable dual-voltage jump starter, suited for both 12V and 24V systems. With a peak current of 3,000A at 12V and 1,500A at 24V, and a starting current of 1,600CA and 800CA respectively, this booster starts even heavy diesel engines and larger vehicles multiple times on a single charge. The maintenance-free AGM battery delivers the power, while built-in reverse polarity protection prevents damage to your vehicle and the booster if you accidentally connect the clamps the wrong way. The 1.30 meter, double insulated cables with fully insulated crocodile clamps ensure safe, optimal power transfer during starting. A built-in voltmeter and charge indicator let you check the battery level at any time, so you are never caught out. Charging happens through a standard 230V outlet or your vehicle's 12V connection, using the included cables. The rugged, shock-resistant housing is built for daily use in the workshop, on the road or in the field with cars, vans, trucks, agricultural vehicles and machinery.

How to use

1. Make sure the vehicle is off and connect the red clamp to the battery's positive terminal first. (Make sure the jump starter itself is switched off while you connect the clamps for extra safety.)

2. Connect the black clamp to an unpainted metal point on the chassis, away from the battery.

3. Start the vehicle and let the engine run before disconnecting the clamps again. (Let the engine run for at least thirty seconds so the battery recharges sufficiently.)

4. Recharge the booster through the outlet or your vehicle's 12V connection after use.

Wear chemical-resistant gloves while connecting the clamps and light up the engine bay with a Scangrip headlamp for safe visibility.
