The PowerStart 1224E is a dual-voltage jump starter that brings both 12V and 24V batteries back to life. With a peak current of 3500A on 12V and 1600A on 24V, it starts even a deeply discharged battery without needing a second vehicle. Clamp current sits at 1200A (12V) and 700A (24V), enough for petrol and diesel engines in cars, vans, trucks and even boats.
The flexible copper cables and fully insulated clamps make connecting safe, even in tight engine bays. A main power switch lets you connect voltage-free: attach the clamps first, then switch on the power. Built-in surge protection prevents voltage spikes from damaging the vehicle's onboard electronics during starting.
Despite the high output, the PS1224E is portable and lightweight, so you can easily carry it in the van or the boot. For anyone working across different vehicle types, from cars to boats, this is a compact solution that combines two voltage classes in one unit.
1x PowerStart 1224E jump starter, 2x fully insulated clamp cables, built-in main switch for voltage-free connection.
3500A peak current at 12V and 1600A at 24V starts even heavily discharged batteries without a second vehicle
Clamp current of 1200A at 12V and 700A at 24V is plenty for petrol and diesel engines
Fully insulated clamps and flexible copper cables protect against short circuits while connecting
Main switch disconnects power before you attach the cables, for safe voltage-free connection
Built-in surge protection keeps onboard electronics safe during starting
Suitable for cars, vans, trucks and boats, and compact enough to keep in the van
Switch off the main power before connecting the clamps, so no voltage is present on the cables.
Clamp the red clip to the positive terminal and the black clip to an earthing point or the negative terminal of the flat battery, checking polarity carefully.
Switch on the main power and start the vehicle. For 24V systems, connect both batteries in series according to the vehicle's wiring diagram.
After starting, disconnect the black clamp first, then the red one, and switch the main power back off.
Pair the PS1224E with a Flex VC-6 battery charger for upkeep between jump starts, and work safely with Colad nitrile gloves and a Scangrip Multimatch 8 detailing light close at hand.
