Colourlock Leather Steering Wheel Repair Kit

The Colourlock Leather Steering Wheel Repair Kit is put together to refresh worn or faded steering wheel leather. The kit first cleans and degreases the leather thoroughly, after which Leather Fresh and the Elephant Leather Preserver help restore the original color, texture and shine. A finishing sealant protects the renewed surface against sweat, skin oils, dirt and UV rays, for a result that lasts longer.

The eight parts work together: from a sanding pad to lightly prep worn spots to a viscose cloth and microfiber cloth for application and finishing. The formula is solvent-free and safe for all types of leather, so you don't have to worry about damaging the wheel. This kit is meant for steering wheels with visible wear, scratches or dulled leather, not for torn or badly damaged leather. That needs professional repair instead.

How to use

1. Clean and degrease the steering wheel with the Colourlock mild cleaner and degreaser to remove old care layers and dirt. (Work in small sections and let the leather dry well afterward.)

2. On visible wear spots, carefully use the sanding pad to lightly prep the surface. (Go easy, you only need to rough up the top layer.)

3. Apply Leather Fresh and the Elephant Leather Preserver with the viscose cloth to restore color and texture.

4. Finish with the Colourlock leather sealant and buff with the microfiber cloth for a sealed, protected layer. (Let the sealant dry fully before using the steering wheel again.)

Work safely with disposable nitrile gloves, inspect your result under a Scangrip detailing lamp, and finish the area around the wheel with a microfiber interior scrub sponge.
