Chemical Guys V36 Optical Grade Waterbased Cutting Polish is a medium cutting polish built to remove swirls, holograms and light sanding marks in the 2500 to 3500 grit range. The formula contains no silicone and no wax, so you see exactly where more correction is needed instead of results being masked by fillers. Thanks to the dust-free formula, almost no polish residue is left behind on the paint or pad, and the long working time gives you room to work the product properly before it dries. You can apply V36 by hand or with a polishing machine (DA or rotary), with a machine giving the fastest and most even result. The polish is body-shop safe and safe on clear paint, classic clearcoats and ceramic coatings, so you can use it without worry on top of an existing coating. After polishing, follow up with a sealant or wax to lock in and protect the finish. The 118ml flip-cap bottle gives you enough product for several polishing sessions on smaller panels or for testing before stepping up to a larger size.
One 118ml bottle of Chemical Guys V36 Optical Grade Cutting Polish with a flip-cap lid, ready to use by hand or with a polishing machine.
Works precisely in the 2500-3500 grit range, ideal for swirls and light holograms on paint
Waterbased formula without silicone or wax, so you see the real result straight away with no fillers masking it
Dust-free formula leaves almost no residue on paint or pad during the polishing session
Long working time for a calm, even application across larger panels
Body-shop safe and safe on classic clearcoats and ceramic coatings without stripping them
Wash and dry the paint thoroughly, or clay bar it first if there is bonded contamination, so no grit is left that could cause extra scratches while polishing.
Apply a few drops of V36 to a clean, dry polishing pad and spread it evenly over a work area of roughly 60 by 60 centimetres.
Work the polish by hand or with a polishing machine (DA or rotary) in overlapping passes with moderate pressure until the polish turns clear and swirls and holograms disappear.
Wipe off the residue with a clean microfiber towel and finish the panel in the same session with a sealant or wax to lock in the result.
For the best result, pair V36 with a Hex-Logic Quantum polishing pad, a Chemical Guys backing plate, a Workhorse microfiber towel and a JetSeal sealant to finish.
