Chemical Guys Torq 22D Polisher 220V

The Chemical Guys Torq 22D is a random orbital (dual-action) polisher with a 21mm throw and 900W of power, steplessly adjustable between 1,700 and 4,300 OPM via a triggerless digital speed dial. Integrated cooling vents keep the motor block cool during long sessions, and the gradual power ramp-up at startup reduces wear. The tool accepts both 5" and 6" backing plates without any modification, so one machine takes you all the way from cutting to finishing, from removing swirls, scratches and paint defects to applying wax, polish and glaze. A rubber anti-slip grip and vibration-dampening construction keep every session comfortable, while the reinforced top edge lets the machine stand stable during short breaks. With a brush attachment, sold separately, you can also use the Torq 22D to loosen dirt in carpet and upholstery. At 2.65kg, the machine is manageable for professional detailers and hobbyists serious about polishing alike.

How to use

1. Pick a cutting pad for scratches and swirls or a finishing pad for the final gloss pass, and attach it to a 5" or 6" backing plate.

2. Apply a few drops of polish or compound to the pad.

3. Set the speed between 1,700 and 4,300 OPM, depending on whether you're cutting or finishing. (Start at a lower speed and build up.)

4. Work in overlapping passes across the panel with even, light pressure, and wipe off excess product with a microfiber towel.

Complete the Torq 22D with a matching 5" backing plate, a Hex-Logic polishing pad, a Menzerna polish and a pack of microfiber towels for wipe-down.
