Chemical Guys Clean Slate Surface Cleanser Wash

Clean Slate is a concentrated strip shampoo by Chemical Guys, designed as preparation before a full detailing session. Where regular shampoo leaves wax and sealant in place, this formula dissolves existing protective layers completely. Clay, polish, ceramic coating, or wrap then bonds directly to clean paint for a stronger result and longer-lasting protection. Lubricants in the formula keep swirl risk low even with heavy soiling or sand particles. The shampoo is super-concentrated and rinses clean without leaving greasy residue. Use it before polishing to prevent residue buildup on polish pads, or after polishing to remove oils from the paint before applying a sealant or coating.

How to use

1. Rinse the vehicle with water to remove loose dirt particles (Make sure coarse grit and sand are washed away before the stripping wash begins)

2. Add a higher dose of Clean Slate to a wash bucket with water (Use more product than with regular shampoo to activate the stripping effect)

3. Wash section by section with a clean wash mitt

4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water (The formula leaves no residue; the paint is ready for the next detailing step)

Stripping done? Remove remaining contamination with Bilt-Hamber Auto Clay, wash with the D-CON Chenille wash mitt, then protect with D-CON Lightning Wet Coat Spray Sealant.
