Rupes Ceramic Denibbling Blade

The Rupes Ceramic Denibbling Blade is a precision tool for removing nibs, dust inclusions and high points from paint or coating quickly and safely. The blade is made from tungsten carbide steel, the same material used in drill bits, so the cutting edge stays sharp for years. You slide or push the blade flat across the surface, like a razor blade, so you only shave off the protruding nib without touching the smooth paint around it. The compact 25 by 25 millimeter size allows precision work on automotive paint, ceramic coating, marine gelcoat and wood finishing. Practice on a small, hidden panel first to get a feel for the right angle and pressure. The blade comes with a protective storage pouch.

How to use

1. Practice on a small, hidden panel first to get a feel for angle and pressure. (Hold the blade flat against the surface.)

2. Slide or push the blade carefully over the nib. (Let the blade do the work, don't add extra pressure.)

3. Check the result with your fingertip and repeat if needed. (Work in small, controlled motions.)

Spot nibs under a bright PDR inspection lamp, degrease the surface first with D-CON IPA cleaner, then polish with Rupes Gel 2 Quarz Abrasivo Medio and a fine microfiber towel.
