B-TEC IR-X1 Short Wave Infrared Dryer 1 Cassette 230V

The B-TEC IR-X1 is a professional short-wave infrared dryer on castors with 1 cassette rated at 1020W and a drying zone of 60 x 40 cm. Short-wave infrared heats the paint surface from within, significantly cutting drying time for water-borne and solvent-borne paints, primers and ceramic coatings. The hydraulic arm adjusts from 15 to 155 cm in height and the rotating cassette lets you angle the radiation at any panel. The 10-metre cable and swivel castors give full freedom of movement in the booth. The adjustable timer controls every drying cycle. This is the entry model in the B-TEC IR range: compact, mobile and lower capital cost than multi-cassette systems.

How to use

1. Position the IR-X1 (Roll the IR-X1 on its castors to the drying zone. Adjust the arm to the correct height and lock hydraulically. Angle the cassette at the surface to be treated.)

2. Set the timer (Consult the technical data sheet for your paint or coating for recommended drying time and temperature. Set the timer to the required duration.)

3. Start the drying cycle (Switch the IR-X1 on and allow the infrared lamp to complete the full cycle. Maintain the recommended distance to the surface, see technical documentation.)

4. Reposition for large panels (The drying zone covers 60 x 40 cm. For larger panels, move the IR-X1 to the next section and repeat the cycle.)

Use the B-TEC IR-X1 to accelerate curing of ceramic coatings like Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light, combined with 3M Fine Line masking tape for clean paint edges and 3M Tack Cloth for a dust-free work surface.
