D-CON Replacement Wheel with Brake for Work Stool

This replacement wheel with brake from D-CON is an easy way to replace a broken or worn caster on the detailing work stool. The wheel is made from aluminium, has a 75mm diameter and works on any floor or work surface.

The brake works through a black push button. Press it and a metal tab slides out of the way so the stool lifts clear of the floor, known as braking under load. Without load the tab resets and the brake function is off. Note: this wheel does not fit stools from other brands, so always compare it with your own before you order. Always mount the wheel perpendicular to the floor.

How to use

1. Remove the old or broken wheel from the work stool. (Tilt the stool carefully so you can reach the wheel easily.)

2. Compare the new wheel with the original before mounting. (Pay close attention to the diameter and the mounting point.)

3. Mount the replacement wheel perpendicular to the floor for the best result. (A tilted mount makes the brake grip less reliably.)

4. Test the brake by pressing the black button while sitting on the stool. (This immediately confirms whether the tab locks correctly.)
