Koch Chemie Green Star is a highly concentrated, alkaline all-purpose cleaner (APC) you dilute per job. From dirty bumpers and the engine bay to upholstery and workshop floors: you set the strength yourself with the right dilution. Green Star is phosphate- and solvent-free and contains corrosion inhibitors, which means it can also be used on sensitive metals such as anodised aluminium. What Green Star does
An all-purpose cleaner is the workhorse in your cabinet: it dissolves grease, grime and general dirt. Green Star is a concentrate, so you are really buying a whole range of cleaners in one bottle, depending on how strong you mix it. Koch Chemie states the formula is phosphate- and solvent-free and contains corrosion inhibitors for material compatibility. Important: with a pH of 12.5 it is a powerful, alkaline cleaner, so for paint, wax and coatings a mild, pH-neutral shampoo is the right choice, not an APC.
Dilute per job
The power of an APC is in the dilution. Koch Chemie names about 1:5 to 1:30 for the exterior and engine bay, 1:10 to 1:20 for interior and textiles, and 1:40 to 1:120 for floors. Always start with the weakest dilution that handles the job and only make it stronger if needed. That way you work material-friendly and avoid cleaning more aggressively than necessary. How to use it
Dilute for the job. Mix Green Star to the right strength: lighter for interior and textiles, stronger for the engine bay and heavy dirt.
Apply and let it dwell briefly. Spread the solution over the surface and let it dwell for a moment, but do not let it dry and not in direct sun or on hot parts.
Agitate where needed. Work stubborn dirt with a brush or cloth so it comes loose.
Wipe or rinse off. Outside you rinse thoroughly with the pressure washer; inside you pick up the residue with a damp cloth or a wet-vac.
Tips for the best result
Start with the weakest dilution that handles the job and only raise the strength if you really need to.
Test a sensitive or unfamiliar surface on an inconspicuous spot first.
Work in the shade and never let the product dry; a dried APC leaves streaks behind.
Use separate cloths and brushes for interior and engine bay, so you do not carry grease onto clean parts.
