About this service
Watercraft operate in harsh conditions. Salt water, algae, mineral deposits and UV exposure attack gelcoat, metals and upholstery relentlessly. Without proper cleaning and protection, these materials degrade fast, and marine contamination is far more aggressive than anything a car faces on the road.
At T&H Car Care in Borne, we clean and protect jet skis, speedboats and launches using marine-grade products and techniques. We remove salt residue, algae and waterline stains from the hull, polish and protect gelcoat surfaces, clean and condition vinyl seating and treat all metal fittings against corrosion.
Boat and jet ski owners from Hengelo, Enschede and the Twente region count on us for seasonal cleaning and winterisation preparation. Proper care after every season extends the life of your watercraft and keeps it looking its best on the water.

Step by step
We begin with a thorough inspection of the vessel. We assess the condition of the gelcoat or hull, the degree of limescale build-up, oxidation and fouling, and the condition of the interior. Based on this, we create a tailored treatment plan with clear expectations.
The vessel is first fully cleaned with specialist marine cleaners that are safe for gelcoat and polyester. Stubborn limescale, waterlines, algae growth and fouling are removed with specific products. The entire hull, deck, railings and all surfaces are thoroughly treated.
Dull, oxidised gelcoat is machine-polished to restore the original gloss and colour intensity. We use compounds and polishing pastes specifically developed for marine gelcoat. The polishing process is carried out in multiple stages for an optimal result.
All stainless steel parts (railings, clamps, fittings), aluminium components and plastics are cleaned and polished separately. Fenders, rub rails and rubbers are treated. The cockpit interior, seats and dashboard are cleaned and protected.
Finally, we apply a protective marine wax, sealant or coating to the gelcoat and all treated surfaces. This protects against UV radiation, limescale, fouling and weather influences. Stainless steel and aluminium are separately protected against oxidation and corrosion.
