Koch Chemie CV Convertible Sealant

Koch Chemie CV Convertible Sealant is a high quality protection for convertible tops and covers made of vinyl, fabric and canvas. The formula based on organic fluorine resins makes the surface extremely hydrophobic and dirt repellent, so water, dirt and UV radiation have much less impact on the top. Rain beads off instead of soaking in, and road grime sticks less easily, keeping the top looking fresh and clean for longer. The product is suitable for any top colour and does not affect the fabric. Always work on a thoroughly cleaned and fully dry surface for the best adhesion, rinse away all cleaning residue first. Shake the can well before use and spray from about 30 cm in even, overlapping motions. After roughly 10 minutes the sealant is dry to the touch, after which full hydrophobic performance builds up further over the following hours.

How to use

1. Wash the top thoroughly with a suitable fabric cleaner (Remove all cleaning residue with a thorough rinse)

2. Let the top dry fully before continuing (A damp surface causes poor adhesion of the sealant)

3. Shake the can well and spray from about 30 cm evenly over the top (Work in overlapping motions to prevent patchy spots)

4. Let the sealant dry fully for about 10 minutes before parking the car away (Avoid rain or a wash during the first full day after application)

Brush the top clean first with the Chemical Guys Convertible Top Horsehair Brush for the best result.
