What the Insect & Dirt Remover does
Dried insects are mildly acidic and bite into the paint, the grille and the mirrors; the longer they sit, the harder they are to remove. Rubbing them off dry is exactly what you do not want, because the hard remains scratch. Koch Chemie Insect & Dirt Remover is alkaline and chemically loosens the remains and the road grime around them, so they come off when you rinse. That way you barely touch the paint and avoid scratches. Besides insects it also tackles general dirt on the exterior and in the engine bay.
How to use it
Cool work area. Work on cool paint in the shade, not on a hot bonnet or in direct sun.
Spray on neat. Spray the product undiluted onto the areas with insects and dirt, such as the front bumper, grille and mirrors.
Let it dwell briefly. Let it dwell about 1 to 3 minutes so the remains loosen. Do not let it dry.
Agitate and rinse. Work stubborn remains with a soft wash mitt, rinse thoroughly and then wash the car as usual.
Tips for the best result
Remove insects as soon as possible; the longer they sit, the deeper they bite in and the harder they are to remove.
Keep the bonnet, grille and mirrors separate from the rest, because that is where by far the most sits.
Rinse generously so no remains stay behind in gaps, vents and the engine bay.
Combine it with your regular pre-wash: soften the insects first, then the rest of the car.

What to watch out for
Do not use the product on hot surfaces, do not let it dry and test an unfamiliar or sensitive material on an inconspicuous spot first.
