Wax wears off in weeks, sealants last a few months, but a ceramic coating protects your paint for years. It creates a permanent chemical bond with your clear coat that repels water, dirt, UV rays and road chemicals. Your car stays cleaner longer and is far easier to wash.
At T&H Car Care in Borne, we apply professional ceramic coatings from Gtechniq, a brand trusted by detailers worldwide. Proper preparation is everything, so we always start with a thorough wash, decontamination and at minimum a single-stage polish before the coating goes on. This ensures a flawless base and maximum bonding.
We coat vehicles for clients across Twente, from Almelo and Hengelo to Enschede and Oldenzaal. Every coating comes with documented aftercare instructions, and we are always available for maintenance advice.
Step by step
The vehicle is fully cleaned with snow foam, hand wash, and specialised cleaning agents. All dirt, insect residue, tar, and grease are removed. Wheels, wheel wells, and sills are treated separately. This is the foundation for a perfect coating.
The paint surface is treated with iron remover and tar remover to eliminate invisible contaminants. The paintwork is then treated with professional clay to remove all remaining particles. The result is a mirror-smooth surface.
Using professional polishing machines and Menzerna compounds, we remove swirls, minor scratches, and paint imperfections. The paint thickness is measured beforehand for a safe working method. Polishing creates a perfectly smooth and glossy base — essential for optimal coating adhesion.
After polishing, the entire paint surface is wiped down with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) to remove all polishing residue and greasy remains. Under special inspection lighting, we check the surface for any remaining imperfections. The surface must be 100% clean and grease-free.
The Gtechniq ceramic coating is applied panel by panel in a minimum of 2 layers. Each layer is carefully built up and cured. The coating forms a hard, transparent protective layer at the nano level that chemically bonds to the paintwork for years of protection.
In addition to the paintwork, we also coat wheels (for protection against brake dust), windows (for water repellency and better visibility), and if desired, plastic trim. Each component receives a coating specifically developed for that material type for optimal protection and durability.
